Breakfast at Dai Due

Breakfast May Beat Dinner at Dai Due

After writing my  latest blog post about dining at Dai Due for dinner, I was inspired to try out the breakfast menu. I'm so glad I did! I knew it was a sound decision as soon as my husband and I sat down. A man sitting across from us looked like he was making love to his food. I mean his facial expressions were incredible. He was so wrapped up in every single bite. We found out he was chowing down on the biscuits, gravy and venison sausage with a fried egg on top. My husband made that order. I went for another recommendation from our waitress... the egg and bacon tamales wrapped in collard greens and served in a chipotle sauce. Both dishes were fresh, full of flavor and really a higher quality than most brunch places. I must admit though my husband and the man in the booth ordered the best dish. I'm not the biggest fan of biscuits and gravy, but this one is truly a step--maybe a leap above the rest. The biscuits were flaky, the sausage was tender and tasty and the gravy worked perfectly with all of the elements. We are looking forward to returning.
